The Flyboard® is an accessory that attaches to the jet discharge of a Personal Watercraft (PWC). The PWC is the “engine” that propels the FlyBoard through the air and water using the thrust created by the PWC. The average person will be flying in 2 to 5 minutes and learn the basic maneuvers within 20 minutes. You’ll probably go up about 5 feet the first time, but that’s about 11 feet at eye level.
Flyboard® was developed in France during the Spring of 2011 by Zapata jet ski racing team. The feet propulsion and hand stabilization were developed, and they patented their invention. The Flyboard® was introduced during the World Championship in China. Their Youtube video was visited more than 2.5 million times in 15 days.
