The third annual Austin Music Video Festival kicked off at the W Hotel Tuesday, September 12th.   The night opened with a set from the fun party band Sip Sip on the pool deck, their horn section rhythmically weaving their rock-jazz into the beats with great vocals that had  filmmakers, cast and crew dancing in the pool.

As night fell, a preview of some of the featured videos started with Onion Creek Productions video for Holiday Mountain “More,” featuring amazing special effects for the folk/electronic/pop duo.

David Ramirez premiered the video “Watching From a Distance” which changed gears with an impressive video, his haunting voice sharing the sadness of not letting go.

After the final  video by psychedelic space/travel/time band The Golden Dawn Arkestra, a question and answer session with directors was followed by an appearance of said band, with costumed members playing instruments in and around the pool while performing “Space Baptism” on the filmmakers in the water.
