BMIĀ showcased the best and brightest acts at SXSW 2017, kicking things off with the 17th AnnualHowdy Texas PartyĀ at Stubb’s featuring Langhorn Slim, Ron Pope and Valerie June.Ā  Continuing with theirĀ brand-newĀ YETI/BMIĀ Day Party, which featured up-and-coming acts with the most buzz in Americana and indie rock including Dan Luke and The Raid, Liz Cooper & The Stampede, Colony House, Jonny P, Brent Cobb and Paul Cauthen. Next up, theĀ Sonidos AlternosĀ showcase highlighted Latin music from around the globe with Nea Agostini, Gustavo Galindo, Victoria La Mala, Madame RĆ©camier, PJ Sin Suela and GRAMMY-winning singer iLe at the Townsend.Ā  TheĀ BMI/AT&T FiberĀ Acoustic BrunchĀ showcased an eclectic mix of performances on the back lawn of the Four Season byĀ BMI’s most-promising songwriters including Vera Blue, Devin Dawson, Caitlyn Smith, Brayton Bowman, Michael Blume, and morgxn.Ā  ClosingĀ BMI’s presence at SXSW, Ron Gallo, Emily Wolfe, Summer Cannibals and Cherry Glazerr rocked theĀ BMIĀ & SAG-AFTRA’s indie showcaseĀ at ACL Live at The Moody Theater.
