Comedian Alex Reymundo will be among the judges the “Heart of Texas Blues Challenge” staged by the Austin Blues Society at 8 p.m. Thursday July 10, 2014 at The Brass House in Austin, Texas. The competition is the first stop along the road to the International Blues Competition in Memphis, Tennessee January 15th, 2015.

The competition is sponsored by Number Juan Tequila, which in under six months won two silver and three gold medals and was named one of the top five tequilas in the world by Nexos Magazine.
The 4-week challenge happens each Thursday in July and ends with the final competition July 31st. Thirteen bands will vie for $500 in prize money.
