The Texas native has become a comedy favorite, touring with Blue Collar’s Bad Boy Ron White and seen by millions of viewers on CMT with Ron White’s Salute to the Troops (w/ Lewis Black & Kathleen Madigan). Reymundo was a highlight of P. Diddy’s “Bad Boy’s of Comedy” and hit the scene as one of “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy” along side Cheech, Paul Rodriguez, George Lopez & Joey Medina.
The competition is sponsored by Number Juan Tequila, which in under six months won two silver and three gold medals and was named one of the top five tequilas in the world by Nexos Magazine.
The 4-week challenge happens each Thursday in July and ends with the final competition July 31st. Thirteen bands will vie for $500 in prize money. Tickets to the first event July 10th are $10 and can be bought here. The featured bands during the “Heart of Texas Blues Challenge” Preliminaries #1 are Palacio Brothers, Lazy J and the Dirty Shuffle, The PMJ Blues Band, Kid Blue, and Granvil Poynter. Heart of Texas Blues Challenge (HOTBC) competitors who advance to the international competition have an unparalleled opportunity to showcase their music to recording industry representatives, music festival organizers, talent scouts, and promoters.
