Join ICON as Paul and Roman sit down with Grammy award – winning producer engineer Hugh Padgham

They are instantly recognizable, the music and albums that have shaped popular culture for generations. ICON explores the inside story of the most memorable albums that you know and love – with those that were there. Your hosts are music industry professionals, production company CEO Paul Doty and radio personality Roman Guzman.

Hugh Padgham talks to ICON about how he managed to produce such great solo artists independent of their already (hugely)successful respective bands. Paul Doty of ICON is also a producer, and Roman Guzman is a morning DJ in Modesto California, so if you ever wished you were a “fly on the wall” when some of your favorite albums were being made – you need to hear this.

Face Value is the debut solo studio album by English singer-songwriter Phil Collins, released in February 1981. It was released in the UK 11 days after his 30th birthday. The album includes the hit single, “In The Air Tonight”, whose dark mood was inspired by the fallout of Collins’ first marriage with his wife Andrea.
