Brian Schram opens the series of spotlights on musicians who played MUSIC MADNESS ATX at Aussie’s Sports Bar and Grill and SXSW 2015.  This was the 9th year in a row for the adjunct festival, started by Victor Hidalgo and curated by Norman Lucas of Elevated Minds Music.

ABOUT BRIAN: As the lead guitarist for Uncle Kracker, Brian had the pleasure of performing on nationally syndicated TV shows such as; David Letterman, Regis and Kelly and The Carson Daily Show. Brian has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Motley Crue, Kid Rock, Stone Temple Pilots, Seether, 3 Day’s Grace, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Kenny Chesney and many more. In early 2014 Brian was asked to appear in Nashville to write with well known producer and Reba MacEntire guitar slinger Jim Kimball.
Widely known as the Rockin’ Fisherman, Brian Schram spends 200 days on the water either guiding clients of all ages and levels to a fish of a lifetime or fishing bass, muskie and walleye tournaments all over the country. Having only fished 9 Bass Master tournaments as a Pro, he already finished in the top 20 in 2 of them. “In 2011, I was lucky enough to be an observer on Kevin VanDam’s boat and watched him boat a 5LBer that won him the title from arms length away. Right then and there I knew I would be fishing tournaments”, says Brian.

Over the past 5 yrs, Brian has been featured on nationally syndicated tv shows such as; The Next Bite, Zona’s Awesome Fishing Show, John Gillespies Waters And Woods and most recently on a 2014 episode of Dave Mercers Facts Of Fishing. Brian plans to film a TV show concept in 2014 that incorporates his passion to educate people from all walks of life about fishing, while incorporating music into the program.

Brian also performs music at the Bassmaster OPENS final day weigh ins that are held at Bass Pro Shops, all while he participates in fishing tournaments. Brian was the headlining act at the 2012 Bassmaster Classic when Chris Lane won the title on the Red River. Due to these performances and write ups it has brought him eposure to hundreds of thousands of fishing fans.
