Interview by Paul Salfen

Philippe Cousteau, grandson of the legendary Jacques Cousteau, is an environmental icon in his own right. Now he is teaming with Mastercard and Conservation International for a special campaign to protect and restore wildlife habitats through a new line of Wildlife Impact Cards. The cards are now available in the U.S. as virtual pre-paid cards, with the full global product line, including debit, credit and pre-paid, rolling out later this year in virtual and eco-friendly formats, addressing the growing consumer passion to protect the environment and animal wildlife.

Cousteau shares the importance of this partnership to conserve 40 million hectares of land and seascapes that are home to thousands of Critically Endangered Species. Some of these species include the Sumatran Tiger, Sunda Pangolin, African Forest Elephant, Peruvian Yellow-Tailed Woolly Monkey, and the Black-and-white Ruffed Lemur.
