Motorola definitely topped the list as one of the many parties worth mentioning from SXSW 2012 in Austin. They held their three day party at the infamous Moonshine Cafe restaurant and lounge. Artists, celebrities, and tastemakers were offered signature comfort food and drinks from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from March 15-17th. Motorola’s guests were invited to take 90’s pictures themed “Then and now,” including an old school boom box, and by contrast they could also represent 2012 with the latest technologies from Motorola including the Motorola RAZR MAXX, Motoactv, and the newDroid XYboard tablets. Daily refreshments were provided by UV Vodka (birthday cake flavored), Asahi Beer, and Disaronno. For those that did not choose to indulge in the alcoholic beverages, refreshing pure coconut milk or flavored pure coconut milk beverages by Zico was offered. Zico also introduced a brand new latte that is going to hit the shelves this summer, and it
was absolutely delicious and refreshing! As for the menu these three days, “comfort food” doesn’t even begin to describe the mouth watering spinach and artichoke starter, or the fried asparagus with a tangy zesty sauce, or any of the deluxe sandwiches or desserts, to include a warm bourbon laced bread pudding. Moonshine pulled out all of the stops for this event, and the food was amazing and quickly delivered with a smile by a staff that made you feel warm inside. For anyone who did not come to the party with an appetite, Nabisco introduced its new breakfast biscuit, called Belvita, which most have been enjoying since the party, because they stuffed a handful of all the different flavors into each of the swag bags guests also got to enjoy for stopping by. This party was definitely worth mentioning and anyone attending SXSW 2013 should definitely go out of their way to stop by Motorola’s party next year.
