Pilobolus Dance Theater is thrilled to announce the addition of 2013 premieres, Licks and [esc]to their Saturday, January 11th program to be performed at Austin’s Paramount Theatre.

“A new idiom of movement drama” – New York Times

Pilobolus collaborated with international superstars, Penn & Teller, creating the ultimate in  gripping, do-not-try-this-at-home choreography. Astonishing physical illusions performed with fantasy, athleticism and strength are all at play in this tantalizing new work.

Pilobolus + Penn & Teller Sneak Peek:

Trish Sie, whose last collaborations with Pilobolus birthed the wildly popular works All Is Not Lost (2011) and Skyscrapers (2012), both set to songs of the same names by the alternative rock group OK Go, teamed up with the company again for a high-octane romp, full of raw energy and berserk horseplay. Tijuana’s Nortec Collective Presents: Bostich & Fussible partnered to create the unique soundtrack, which fuses infectious modern rhythms and traditional Northern Mexican border music for this work that features 6 dancers…and 12 ropes.
