Swedish DJ duo CAZZETTE sold out La Zona Rosa in Austin, TX Saturday February 18, a few days before the release of part three of the “eject” album. The lucky clubgoers that got in bounced to the beats of DJ Andrew Parsons, DJ Shwann and Gamma, while outside the disappointed latecomers milled around the gates hopefully. Somewhere around midnight Sebastian Furrer & Alexander Björklund took the stage and the crowd responded with wild excitement.
CAZZETTE burst on the scene June 9, 2011 with the help of Ash Pournouri from AT NIGHT MANAGEMENT, who also launched AVICII.
In a matter of a few days their first single, a remix for Avicii entitled “Sweet Dreams (CAZZETTE meet AT NIGHT Mix)” was released on JOIA RECORDS and charted in Top20 on Beatport Top100 General Charts for 6 weeks straight. It’s a huge club hit around the world and CAZZETTE have the distinction of being the first artists ever to partner with Spotify to launch their career exclusively on the service. As of this writing they are counting the hours to the release of their third set taken from their debut album, “eject.” – The first set kicked off with their debut single, Beam Me Up (see video above).
Their bootleg of Swedish House Mafia’s “Save the World” was accepted as an official remix by the boys and their highly appreciated bootleg of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” went straight to the number one spot on HYPE MACHINE most popular after being uploaded on their Soundcloud page.
Sebastion and Alex met online while hanging out in a forum for DJs and producers. Sebastian emailed AVICII’s manager Ash Pournouri after watching a string his videos online. AMFM Magazine caught up with them just before their show and Lydia Thompson asked a few questions before they went on stage.
