Robert Rodriguez sits down with Francis Ford Coppola in a very interesting installment of “The Director’s Chair” where Coppola speaks of his early days with budding filmmaker George Lucas and the challenges of working the within the studio system.

Listen as Robert Rodriguez  talks to Coppola as one director to another about the team process that developed as a result of Coppola’s background in Theater.  Coppola was able to bring the group mentality of Theater to Film to develop his own style ( and it wasn’t easy), but it  resulted in one of the greatest war movies of all time “Apocalypse Now,” as well as the iconic  Godfather” films.

El Rey Network Presents: The Director’s Chair” is a series of hour-long specials featuring the industry’s most cutting edge directors as they engage in a revealing and unexpected exchange about the world of filmmaking.
