    THE FLASH Movie Minute Review

    Review by Paul Salfen

This is Paul Salfen with your KLAK Movie Minute. In theaters this weekend is The Flash, the big budget standalone superhero story that’s every bit as fun as it looks. Embattled star Ezra Miller is fantastic as the title character – and even better when he goes back in time and there’s two of them. And, of course, the news is out there that there is the return of Michael Keaton as Batman, which, if you grew up on him as your caped crusader will just hit you right in the heart. It’s a thrill to see him again as quite possibly the best Batman, but then again, you also get Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot back as Wonder Woman for an appearance – and let’s just say a few more surprises that you might be able to guess – and a few you’ll never see coming, one of which will likely bring tears to your eyes. Directed by Andrew Muschietti with a heroic score from Benjamin Wallfisch, who worked together on IT: Chapter 1 and 2, this one hits some emotional depths, as the story centers around our hero going back in time to change events to save his mother’s life. He goes through it for sure and if you’re along for the ride, you will, too. This is comic book adaptation and fan service at a high level – it’s just a shame that we may not see a sequel. That’s it for this week. Join me next week and every week for another Movie Minute right here on 97.5 KLAK, AMFM Magazine, and RECRD.
