Sophie Rankin is a British actress who’s been in 24 feature films and TV shows worldwide. Her very unique acting career has taken her all over the world including the Philippines where she lived for 5 years and landed main roles in comedy feature films including Boy Tokwa and Mrs & Mrs Cruz all that made cinema.
In this interview, she talks about her role in OUIJA CASTLE, which was filmed in Scotland at Lickleyhead Castle, (which interestingly is home to Game of Thrones actress Rose Leslie, who is part of Clan Leslie which originated the building in the 16th century.).
She learned to speak the local language and starred in a lot of very popular TV series including the famous Happy Life and Asawa Ko Karibal Ko TV show that are both on the top TV networks in the Philippines. She’s also done a lot of British TV including her role in the renowned TV show Emmerdale and Indian TV series Love is greater than God.
Movies have always been her passion and she’s been cast in a lot of action, thriller and horror movies in the UK. She has a background in gymnastics and martial arts which help her a lot in the action movies. She’s currently starring as the lead role in ESCAPE playing Lucy, DarkGame as Fay which stars Ed Westwick and have both been directed by Howard J Ford. Both movies are currently out in the US & worldwide and are coming to the UK this year. She’s also currently starring in Ouija Castle as one of the lead roles playing Princess Sofia directed by Louisa Warren.
