Houston’s Broadway Season 2019-20 To Bring Tony Award Winners And Favorites

Houston, TX – Mischer Neurosciences Broadway at the Hobby Center announced the lineup of shows for its 2019-2020 Season today. With nine productions including one season option, the season includes a mixture of Blockbuster Tony Award®-winners, acclaimed revivals, four market premieres and beloved all-time favorites.

Anchored by the Tony Award® and 2018 Grammy Award®-winning Best Musical and pop-culture phenomenon DEAR EVAN HANSEN with its much-anticipated premier for a limited two-week run, the 2019-2020 Mischer Neurosciences Broadway at the Hobby Center Season also features CATS, the beloved musical filled with treasured songs; HELLO, DOLLY!, winner of four Tony Awards® including Best Musical Revival; THE BAND’S VISIT, a breathtaking production having won 10 Tony Awards® making it one of the most Tony®-winning musicals in history; COME FROM AWAY, the true story, based on actual events that took place September 11, 2001 and the days that followed; FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, the heartwarming musical filled with hits you know and love; ROALD DAHL’S CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, a delectable treat of toe-tapping music and incredible inventions; JERSEY BOYS, the Tony®, Grammy® and Olivier Award – winning hit musical and returning to Houston HAMILTON.

Beginning Tuesday, March 5th, current 2018-2019 Subscribers will have first access to tickets when they renew their subscriptions for the 2019-2020 Season. The renewal deadline for current subscribers is April 2.

JERSEY BOYS is the behind-the-music story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.  They were just four guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard… and the radio just couldn’t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a very different story – a story that has made them an international sensation all over again. The show features all their hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What A Night,” “Walk Like A Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Working My Way Back To You.”

At this time, 2019-2020 Season Packages are only available to current, renewing Subscribers. New patrons are encouraged to sign up for the official waiting list at BroadwayAtTheHobbyCenter.com, and will be notified once new subscriptions become available.

2019-2020 Season Packages can be renewed:

  • By calling (800) 952-6560; Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CST through the April 2, 2019 renewal deadline
  • By visiting the Hobby Center Box Office at 800 Bagby Street; 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday
  • Prices start at $234 for a seven-show package and $314 for eight-show package

Current Subscribers will receive renewal materials via email TODAY followed by a mailing after the announcement.
