This is Paul Salfen with your KLAK Movie Minute. In limited theaters this weekend and expanding mid-week before Thanksgiving is Bones and All, another type of feast – a cannibal love story! Yes, that’s right…just in time for the holidays. Starring Timothee Chalamet and Taylor Russell Maren, this unlikely road trip romance from the director of Call Me By Your Name and Suspiria has a little feel from both films with juste a bit of tragedy and blood with a lot of lonliness and Gen Z angst, a sort of emo horror romance. It’s beautifully shot, has great performances, is understated, and definitely a slow burn but really does work, but certainly won’t be for everyone. It seems like a black comedy at times but other times it seems really sweet. Shall we say it has many flavors in one serving? This one might be a fun one to take someone unsuspecting to and watch couples squirm. Ah, the holidays! Nothing like a film like this to bring us closer together. That’s it for this week. Join me next week and every week for another Movie Minute right here on 97.5 KLAK and AMFM Magazine.
