This is Paul Salfen with your KLAK Movie Minute. In theaters this weekend is Inside Out 2, the sequel to the big Disney Pixar hit that saw the characters of Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness in young Riley after a big move and it was an early discussion on mental wellness in a kids movie and showed the range of raging emotions as a girl goes through life changes – and now get ready for Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment to enter the room and there’s total chaos in poor Riley as she navigates hockey camp, new friends, old friends, parental issues, and being her own person. Just as you’d expect, it’s sweet, funny, sad, and super clever throughout. Filled with great known and not-as-known voice talents and superb animation – and a helping of funny new characters, it’s a great ride – and one for the whole family that can really be enjoyed while giving something to discuss as well as maybe some grace in understanding and remembering what happens in the mind during these big life changes. Definitely worth a trip to see it on the big screen. That’s it for this week. Join me next week and every week for another Movie Minute right here on 97.5 KLAK, AMFM Magazine, and RECRD.
