This is Paul Salfen with your KLAK Movie Minute. Coming soon to theaters is Time of Death, a spooky prison-set crime story that follows an investigator looking into a released prisoner’s disappearance and what actually happened during an execution years ago. He finds that nothing is as it seems, which proves to be a dangerous road that becomes more treacherous as he proceeds. Michael Kelly leads the charge with a really strong supporting cast in Dennis Haysbert, Southern fried warden Kevin Pollock, and Mena Suvari. The setting is fantastic and the mood is atmospheric. Although it’s a little slow in places, it really picks up the pace towards the end. It is an interesting puzzle that takes the viewer through several twists and turns and has a truly unexpected ending. Each of the actors gets a chance to shine here. It’s an imperfect but enjoyable late-night watch that will keep you guessing. That’s it for this week.
