Into the Sky’s Directors on Sam Richardson, Blue Goo, and the Hail Mary

Sam Richardson wakes up naked and covered in blue goo, and the movie has already shot out of a cannon. At Fantastic Fest 2026, Paul Salfen sat down with writer-directors Drew Mylrea and Evan Wolf Buxbaum as their alien-abduction romance Into the Sky world-premiered at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar. Emmy winner Richardson stars opposite Sofia Black-D’Elia and David Cross as Bobby, a husband who only wants his marriage back — if the sky will stop taking him. In this AMFM Magazine exclusive, the duo talk about the no-money cabin script that panicked their producer, the lead who sang John Williams between setups, and why the weird should be celebrated. Ninety-seven minutes. Somewhat on the rails.

Inarritu starring Tom Cruise - and it is something else. On one hand, it has moments of brilliance, the performances are all fantastic - Tom Cruise is great as

The Beninese-born American scientist and founder of Science180 says twelve years in data he calls a scientific trashcan — numbers known since Newton, and verified, he says, by NASA — produced a formula an
