New York, NY – Producing partners Monty Hobbs and Valerie Smaldone have joined forces to launch a new content creation company, Just Do GOOD Entertainment. Their mission is to create content that not only entertains but inspires and enacts change by doing good.

“While shooting The Thursday Night Club, a movie about doing good for others, we realized that we needed to produce a reality series that actually does help individuals in need,” Hobbs said. Smaldone added, “we are focused on the simple concept that, despite the chaotic world we live in, people still really do care, and we wanted to show that is the case.”

Previously, Hobbs & Smaldone worked together with producer Matthieu Chazareix to create the series Divine Renovation, hosted by Erik Estrada. The pilot season can be viewed on nine platforms including UpTV, Tubi, and Amazon, and recently received the Silver Telly Award. Season 2 will have its world premiere with Erik Estrada in attendance this coming Thursday, June 20th at the renowned Warner Theater in Torrington, CT. Mayor Elinor Carbone will present Hobbs and Smaldone with a proclamation declaring June 20th “Divine Renovation Day” in Torrington. She will also be presenting the key to the city to series host, Estrada. Divine Renovation, Destination: New England will air starting on numerous platforms beginning September 19 and is an Official Selection of the Impact Doc Awards.

Just Do GOOD Entertainment is producing a children’s book titled, Officer Erik and The Very Special Dad, featuring a father with Multiple Sclerosis who has an indomitable spirit of gratitude and a desire to help others, despite his challenges. A portion of the proceeds from the book will benefit MS charities. The book will be available this holiday season.

While they continue to plan for new seasons of Divine Renovation at various locations around the country, Hobbs and Smaldone are in the process of “cooking up” a new series, staying in the lane of helping others, but with food as the main event.

Smaldone and Hobbs aren’t stopping there. A very special premiere of the Just Do GOOD Awards will be held in 2025, recognizing individuals from various walks of life who have made a concrete difference in this world.

Hobbs and Smaldone are very grateful to the municipalities and businesses who have come forth to help them help others, and get exposure for their brand along the way. “We truly believe that small fixes can make big miracles,” Smaldone said. Hobbs agreed that sometimes “making small adjustments for individuals who need the help, can make a world of difference.”
