What So Not Expands Beautiful Things World Tour

With a Pre-Lolapalooza Dallas Stop - Ticket Giveaway

    By Paul Salfen

An appearance in town by What So Not aka Emoh Instead aka Chris Emerson is a rare thing, but the Australian producer/DJ will deliver a brilliant one at Stereo Live in Dallas on Friday as part of his “Beautiful Things Part 2 Tour” on his way to Lollapalooza, where he’ll perform on Sunday.

His current single “Beautiful” follows the runaway success of last year’s touching “Be Ok Again,” which features Daniel Johns [Silverchair] and caught the attention of a couple million streamers. Fans that have followed him since his days as a duo with Flume will note the evolution of his trippy sound, but that’s not the only trippy thing of note.

For the tour, What So Not has a custom-built chrome horse that pulls a chariot in front of LED walls, a sight to behold that was previously only seen at Coachella, Ultra, and in Australia.

Look out for an exclusive interview with What So Not here next week and enter to win a pair of tickets to the show here.

What So Not performs at Stereo Live Dallas on Friday, August 3rd. Tickets $10 – $20. 2711 Storey Lane. 10pm to 2am. 214-538-6511. For tickets: www.StereoLiveDallas.com

Interview by Paul Salfen The year is 1995, and the airwaves are alive with the gritty, sun-soaked chords of “Santa Monica,” Everclear’s breakout hit from their platinum-selling major-label debut, Sparkle and Fade.
