The Fourth Annual Indie Meme Film Festival (IMFF) will take place April 14, and 26-28 at AFS Cinemas. Founded by two visionary women, Alka Bhanot and Tripti Bhatnagar, IMFF showcases culturally diverse and socially relevant independent films from South Asian countries including India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and more. This year, the award winning festival will bring filmmakers from across the world to celebrate their feature-length and short films right here in the heart of Austin.

The goal of IMFF is to influence social and cultural awareness and consciousness, and encourage and facilitate dialogue. Indie Meme engages, educates, entertains, and brings together different communities to promote cross-cultural understanding and build a globally conscious community. offers screenings of carefully curated independent cinema – feature, documentaries, short films, etc. from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan,Nepal, Bhutan, Iran). They aim to connect the audience with the makers of the films and celebrate them for their creative genius.

IMFF 2019 kicks off on Sunday, April 14th with a family film day with features and shorts for the whole family as well as a mixer. The festival continues Friday, April 26th with red carpet and opening night film, THE LAST COLOR, from celebrity chef Vikas Khanna and will be followed by the opening night party at URBAN An American Grill at the Westin Domain.
