FUBAR: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carrie-Anne Moss Bring Action and Laughs to Netflix’s Hit Series Season 2

Netflix’s Fubar has taken the streaming world by storm, blending high-octane action with sharp humor and heartfelt moments. In this exclusive AMFM Magazine interview, stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carrie-Anne Moss joined host Paul Salfen to share behind-the-scenes stories, the challenges of filming, and their advice for aspiring actors. Their infectious chemistry and candid reflections reveal why Fubar is a must-watch for fans of action-comedy.

    A Joyful Reunion on Screen

From the outset, Fubar promised to be a fun ride, and Schwarzenegger and Moss delivered. The duo’s on-set experience was filled with laughter, particularly during the show’s memorable dance sequences. “Both of us had a lot of fun, especially when we did the dance sequence,” Schwarzenegger shared, noting that the multiple dance scenes were a highlight. “The rehearsals were fun. Doing it was fun. It was very well written.”

One standout moment was the reunion scene between their characters, who reconnect after decades apart. “When she and I all of a sudden see each other again,” Arnold recalled, “she comes up to me and grabs my ass. I mean, it was like hilarious.” The unexpected moment led to uncontrollable giggles on set. “There was this one take where she grabbed me really hard,” he laughed. “I just couldn’t hold it anymore.”

Moss echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the collaborative spirit that made Fubar special. “I get a lot of energy from that collective feeling of the other people,” she said. “I love being a part of something.” For her, the joy came from serving the showrunner’s vision alongside a dedicated crew. “When you see it and it feels like, ‘Oh yeah, we worked really hard and we did it,’ there’s nothing better than that feeling.”

    The Tough Side of Action

While Fubar delivers plenty of laughs, the action sequences were no walk in the park. Schwarzenegger, a veteran of physically demanding roles, opened up about the grueling moments. “There’s also the miserable kind of times,” he admitted, citing the relentless rehearsals and occasional mishaps. “The amount of times you maybe by accident get hit with some gunmen or kicked in the wrong place,” he said, or the freezing water scenes where “you just wish you get out of it and it’s over.”

Yet, Arnold’s resilience shone through, guided by a lesson from his Conan the Barbarian days. Director John Milius once told him, “The pain is temporary, but the movie will be permanent.” This mindset carried him through Fubar’s challenges. “No matter how much discomfort there is, it’s temporary,” he said. “But the movie or the TV show, in this case Fubar, will be permanent.”

    Wisdom for the Next Generation

With millions of fans inspired by their careers, Schwarzenegger and Moss offered advice for those dreaming of breaking into the industry. Moss stressed the power of passion and purpose. “I had a dream, and that dream led me to make the choices that I would make,” she said, reflecting on her early days in Los Angeles. “My mindset was if I wanted to be prepared for success, I needed to start even when I wasn’t successful.” She urged aspiring actors to find their spark, noting, “Having a passion and goals and aspirations are hugely important.”

Schwarzenegger emphasized vision and defiance in the face of doubt. “The goal is the most important thing, because if you don’t have a vision, you don’t know where to go,” he said. He also advised ignoring naysayers. “There will always be people that will say, ‘You will never make it. That’s impossible,’” he noted. “I just never accepted someone saying, ‘That’s impossible.’ The more people said it was impossible, the more I felt like I can do it.”

    Why Fubar Shines

Fubar is more than just an action-comedy—it’s a testament to the enduring charisma of Schwarzenegger and Moss, whose chemistry lights up the screen. The series balances laugh-out-loud moments with heart-pounding action, all underpinned by a stellar cast and crew committed to excellence. As Schwarzenegger put it, success is “as possible as it was 50 years ago, 20 years ago, ten years ago. It’s possible. You can do it.”

For fans craving a mix of nostalgia, humor, and adrenaline, Fubar delivers in spades. Schwarzenegger and Moss’s stories from the set only deepen the appreciation for their craft and the collaborative spirit that brought this series to life.

Stream Fubar on Netflix now, and stay tuned for more exclusive insights from AMFM Magazine.
