The Yellowstone saga rides on into Texas with Dutton Ranch, the highly anticipated Paramount+ spinoff premiering globally on May 15, 2026. At the center of the new drama are Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their roles as the indomitable Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, now carving out a future in South Texas amid brutal rivalries, deep-rooted family ties, and the unforgiving realities of ranch life. Joining this powerhouse duo are Natalie Alyn Lind as the fiercely independent ‘Oreana Jackson’ and Finn Little, returning as the now-grown ‘Carter,’ the troubled youth taken in by Beth and Rip.

In an exclusive conversation with AMFM Magazine’s Paul Salfen, Lind and Little opened up about the joy of filming the series, the challenges of stepping into Sheridan’s world, and what audiences can expect from this bold new chapter.

    “It’s Kind of a Dream”

From the jump, both actors describe the Dutton Ranch set as anything but ordinary. “We’re always doing something different, something crazy every episode,” Little shared. “Learning new skills. Shooting guns, driving vintage Broncos… I mean, it’s kind of a dream.” Lind echoed the sentiment, calling out standout moments that made her pinch herself: “There’s a lot of things that… it’s a crazy job just to be over here and here and here just doing amazing things every single day.”

One memorable sequence involving a boat even sparked playful banter during the interview. When Salfen asked if that was the “wow, I get paid for this” moment, Little laughed it off but confirmed the production’s mix of high-stakes action and pure fun.

The pair also bonded over working with an exotic animal—prompting Lind to exclaim, “What is happening? How are we here right now?”—a testament to the unpredictable, immersive nature of Sheridan’s storytelling.

Staying Authentic in a Demanding Industry

Beyond the stunts and spectacle, both actors reflected on deeper lessons from their characters and careers. Little admires Carter’s persistence: “He’s been through a lot… his ability to get back up is something I very much admire about him.”

Lind, who plays the free-spirited and unapologetically bold Oreana Jackson, highlighted her character’s authenticity: “She doesn’t let the restrictions of what people think of her tie her down. She’s authentically herself… and I love playing a character like that.”

When asked for advice to aspiring actors, their responses were heartfelt and grounded. Little urged, “Just put yourself out there any time that you can… do it at 100%.” Lind emphasized staying true to oneself: “Even with characters, when you’re pretending to be somebody else, staying authentically true to yourself and who you are… stick with it, because sometimes it’s really hard.”

Both credited mindset techniques for tackling intense scenes—Little stresses being present, while Lind relies on meticulously curated playlists to tap into emotional states.

A Hail Mary Mindset and Family Legacy

Little pointed to his first acting job in Australia as a personal Hail Mary moment, while Lind cited producing her first movie as a defining leap of faith. “I kind of just woke up one day and was like, ‘Hey, why don’t I just make a movie?’ And then I did.”

The conversation naturally turned to the show’s emotional core. “So much of the original Yellowstone… revolved around messy relationships with family,” Lind noted. “Family dynamics are some of the most complicated that you can have… I hope that people are able to watch it and either feel sad if they want to or are happy… there’s such a great comedy to it. It’s real. It feels very authentic.”

Little added that fans should brace for chaos: “It’s going to have a very Yellowstone feel… there has to be a bit of chaos. People are going to be in for a real ride this season.”

    Rising Stars with Impressive pedigrees

Natalie Alyn Lind first captured hearts as ‘Dana Caldwell’ on The Goldbergs, then showcased range in The Gifted, Tell Me A Story (where she also sang), Big Sky, and opposite Colin Farrell in Sugar. A self-proclaimed horror aficionado, she starred in Pet Sematary: Bloodlines and produced the upcoming horror-camp film Halloween Store. She will also appear in Nick Cassavetes’ Marked Men. Off-screen, Lind is passionate about philanthropy, working with Make-A-Wish and Save the Rhinos, and shares her Los Angeles home with rescue dogs Georgie and Nalo.

Finn Little broke out opposite Angelina Jolie in Those Who Wish Me Dead, earning Taylor Sheridan’s attention and a custom-written role on Yellowstone. He reprised Carter in Season 4 alongside Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, and Cole Hauser, contributing to the show’s SAG Award nomination for Outstanding Ensemble. Born in Brisbane, Little debuted at 11 in Storm Boy with Geoffrey Rush, and has since appeared in The Surfer (Cannes 2024), Tidelands, Reckoning, and more.

The ensemble also boasts heavyweights Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Academy Award nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening.

With Dutton Ranch, Taylor Sheridan once again proves his knack for blending raw family drama, sweeping Western landscapes, and unflinching intensity. As Lind and Little gear up for the premiere, one thing is clear: the ride is just beginning—and it promises to be as wild, heartfelt, and addictive as the Dutton legacy itself.

Don’t miss Dutton Ranch streaming on Paramount+ starting May 15, 2026.
