EarthX 2026 buzzed with conversation until Isolde Fair stepped onto the stage. In an instant, a room full of some of the world’s most brilliant and accomplished minds fell into rapt silence. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, known to fans as Mozart Girl, delivered a performance that transcended the typical conference set — it was intimate, powerful, and deeply personal.
“It was a dream come true,” Fair says, still glowing from the moment. “I felt like I was just a student learning from everybody on stage before me, and there are so many extraordinary people. Being able to tell my story and share my gift with them was really special.”
A Viral Beginning at 13
Fair’s journey began remarkably early. At just 13 years old, her first original song went viral in 2017 — back when a genuine internet explosion still felt rare and magical. Kids around the world were singing it in their school choirs. That breakout moment led to an unforgettable invitation: performing at Lincoln Center’s David Koch Theater for 3,000 people during her spring break.
While her classmates asked if she was heading to the pool, Fair was flying to New York, stepping onto one of the world’s most prestigious stages, and singing the same song that had captured hearts online. “That was the moment I knew in my heart and in my head that I just wanted to be a singer full time,” she recalls. “This is my dream. I’m going to make this happen.”
Lady Gaga Influence and Artistic Identity
A proud northern Italian with a connection to her heritage, Fair cites Lady Gaga as a profound early influence. “She was able to still have a lot of class but also be edgy,” Fair explains. “I remember seeing her perform at the Super Bowl and thinking, ‘I want to do that. I want to perform for millions of people… I want to bring them into my world and feel comfortable and feel at ease and feel like they can be themselves.’”
That desire to create a welcoming artistic universe remains central to her work. Now, the tables have turned — young fans look up to her the way she once looked up to her idols.
Advice for the Next Generation
When asked what guidance she would offer aspiring artists, Fair’s response is both grounded and inspiring:
“Really stay true to yourself. Stay focused on what you want to do and not what everybody else wants you to do… Don’t ever, ever, ever give up on the things that you want to do. Make sure to be yourself. And if that’s going back into your culture or the history that you have had through your ancestry, I would say try to incorporate that. Do something that’s so you that if somebody tried to copy it, they would only do their own thing.”
Hail Mary Moments and the Power of Action
Fair has had two major “Hail Mary” moments in her young career. The first was uploading that breakthrough song to YouTube as an unknown 13-year-old. The second came more recently when she committed to releasing music on her own terms — authentic songs she believed others could relate to.
She credits a powerful mindset for sustaining her through the inevitable challenges of creative life. After receiving a fortune cookie message that read, “People will doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do,” she keeps it on her bedside table as a daily reminder.
“I believe in myself,” she says. “I already see what I have, it’s already there, and I’m getting to that point where it’ll happen and I will keep on moving forward with it… Fame and success — don’t think of fame and success. Say, ‘I am already fame and success because I’m already doing what I love.’”
A Year of Breakthroughs
2025–2026 has been a whirlwind for Fair. In addition to her Grammy nomination and performances that continue to captivate audiences, she collaborated with a beloved childhood clothing brand known for empowering girls — a full-circle moment that reached millions of their fans.
Looking ahead, she’s excited about new music, summer shows, festivals, and more events like EarthX. She’s also thoughtful about the music industry’s environmental impact, particularly around merchandise.
“The music industry has such a big carbon footprint,” she notes. “If there’s a way where you could make merch and it’s fully sustainable and maybe made by smaller brands that do everything by hand… you’re getting really good quality clothing… and it would be different from somebody else’s. That’s what I think would be cool.”
Connecting with Mozart Girl
Fair’s blend of vulnerability, ambition, and authenticity sets her apart in an industry often driven by trends. Whether she’s silencing a conference hall, performing at iconic venues, or connecting with fans online, she continues to build a world where listeners feel seen and inspired.
